A Letter From Mum And Dad

Aku dapat bait-bait nota yang sungguh indah dan bermakna ini dari FB seorang kawan aku.

My Child,

I hope you understand 

and have patience with me.

In case I break a plate 

or spill soup on the table because

I m loosing my eyesight

I hope you don't yell at me.

Older people are sensitive

Always having selfpity when you yell

When my hearing gets worse

And I cant hear what you're saying

I hope you don't call me "DEAF"

Please repeat what you said or 

write it down....

..........I'm getting older.

When my knees get weaker

I hope you have the patience

to help me get up

Like how I used to help you

while you were little 

...........learning how to walk.

Please bear with me.

When I keep repeating myself

like a broken record,

I hope you just keep listening to me.

Please don't make fun of me

or

Get sick of listening to me

Do you remember when you were little

and you wanted a balloon?

You repeated yourself over and over

until you got what you wanted

..........Please also pardon my smell

I smell like an old person.

Please don't force me to shower

My body is weak

Old people get sick easily when they're cold

I hope I don't gross you out.

Do you remember when you were little?

I used to chase you around because 

you didn't want to shower.

I hope you can be patient with me

When I'm always cranky

It's all part of getting old

You'll understand when you're older.

And if you have spare time

I hope we can talk

Even for a few minutes.

I'm always all by myself all the time

And have no one to talk to

I know you're busy with work

Even you're not interested in my stories

Please have time for me.

Do you remember when you were little?

I used to listen to your stories

about your teddy bear.

When the time comes

And I get ill and bedridden,

I hope you have the patience to take 

.......care of me.

I'M SORRY

if I accidentally wet the bed 

and make a mess

I hope you have the patience to

take care of me during the

last few moments of my life.

I'm not going to last much longer, anyway.

When the time of my death comes

I hope you hold my hand

and gave me the strength to face death.

And don't worry 

when I finally meet our CREATOR

I will whisper in his ear

to BLESS YOU.

Kuah Masak Lada

Ini satu lagi masakan yang sering disediakan oleh arwah emak aku.  Orang Melaka memang tahu kuah ni.  Kuah ni mesti cair, kalau pekat tak sedap.  Pada tekak aku kuah ni memang sedap sangat.

Kuah ni macam kari tanpa santan.  Istimewanya ia guna kelapa bakar.  Kalau tak nak guna rempah kari yang sedia ada, boleh buat rempah sendiri yang terdiri dari serbuk cili, jintan manis, jintan putih, lada hitam dan serbuk kunyit sikit.

Tambah sedap lagi kalau dimakan bersama sambal goreng ke...ikan masin ke...sambal belacan ke......tak yah dah lauk lain.

1 ekor ikan tongkol
2 sb serbuk rempah kari
1 st belacan
2" isi kelapa tua
2 sb asam jawa
700 liter air
1/4 cawan minyak untuk menumis
garam secukup rasa

Bahan ditumbuk kasar :
5 ulas bawang merah
3 ulas bawang putih
1/2" lengkuas
1" halia

1.  Isi kelapa dibakar sampai naik bau.  Lepas tu kikiskan kerak hitam tu dengan pisau dan kelapa itu ditumbuk halus.

2.  Rempah kari dibancuh dengan sedikit air bersama belacan dijadikan pes.  Asam jawa dibancuh dengan sedikit air.

3.  Panaskan minyak dan tumis bahan tumbuk bersama kelapa tumbuk tadi hingga naik bau.

4.  Kemudian masuk rempah kari.  Boleh aje masuk daun kari kalau ada.  Tumis sekejap dan masuk ikan.  Tumis lagi hingga rempah menjadi garing dan pecah minyak.  Ikan pula menjadi sebati dengan rempah yang ditumis.

5.  Akhir sekali masuk air asam jawa dan air.  Biarkan kuah mendidih dan masuk garam.  

Kuah masak lada ni boleh dimasukkan sayur seperti terung, bendi dan tomato juga.

Gadget

Sebenarnya gadget ni aku pernah le tengok dalam katalog kawan aku kira2 3 tahun dulu.  Tapi aku tak minat nak beli.  Nampak macam nak main pondok-pondok je.


Tapi hari tuh aku ternampak di Tesco.  Pikir punya pikir, aku sebat leh satu.  Nak try.


Eh eh...memang bagus rupanya gadget nih.  Menyesal tak beli dulu.
